Editor’s note: Below, in her own words, is an update on the implementation of a TMS from GTreasury/Ripple from a NeuGroup member treasurer who described how she created an RFP for a TMS, captured in a NeuGroup Insights story from February. Her insights are incorporated in a new NeuGroup Guide, Creating an RFP for a TMS . “Our implementation has started to gain momentum. After spending some time preparing documentation and aligning on the approach that best fits our needs, we have now moved into a more active phase of the project. We also had several discussions around implementation methodology, which helped us establish a clearer path forward.
“At this stage, connectivity has been established for our primary bank accounts, and transactions are flowing into the system regularly. Our goal is to have our daily cash position fully managed within GTreasury, replacing a highly manual process that has historically been both time-consuming and prone to error.
“The only remaining connectivity item is our investment securities portfolio. For our investments to be reflected in the cash position, the integration must first be uploaded to the Financial Instruments module. From there, the data will flow into the Cash Management module. As a result, the target date for including investments in our cash position has been pushed to August.
“We have built out our cash flow forecasting models and are currently working to automate the integration of AR and AP data to support forecasting. We also plan to incorporate longer-term forecast data, although that information will require manual uploads.
“On the FX side, we have provided our 2025 dataset, and GTreasury is currently loading the information so that we can begin testing reports, validating outputs, and making any necessary adjustments. We are also planning an ERP integration that will provide ongoing monthly FX data updates.
“In parallel, we have started working with our primary banking partner to establish payment workflows (for internal transfers only) initiated directly through GTreasury. This effort is still in its early stages and will take some time to fully implement.
“As you can imagine, there are many workstreams progressing simultaneously, and we have not yet begun several of the additional modules included in our implementation scope. Our current target is to complete all Phase 1 modules by November 2026.
“Overall, while there is still a significant amount of work ahead of us, it is encouraging to see the project progressing and the key foundational pieces coming together.
“I’d be happy to serve as a resource for anyone interested in learning more about our RFP process or our experience implementing GTreasury.”
