Working Capital Wednesday | Innovative Trade Receivables Securitization with FIS (formally Demica)
In this session, NeuGroup members will hear how Accell Group, a private equity-owned leader in Europe’s e-bike and bicycle components sector, successfully addressed its complex working capital needs through a sophisticated trade receivables securitization program.
Faced with the challenge of managing cross-border receivables across seven seller jurisdictions and 24 debtor jurisdictions, Accell required a scalable and flexible funding solution. With support from FIS (formally Demica), the company implemented a ?100 million securitization program in just 12 weeks, navigating significant regulatory and logistical hurdles.
This session will cover:
- The strategic rationale for pursuing a securitization structure versus other funding options
- Key operational and regulatory challenges and how the team overcame them
- Treasury’s role in driving alignment among internal stakeholders and external funders
- Lessons learned and how the program supports Accell’s growth, innovation, and sustainability goals
Session Speakers:
