Protecting Your Right to IEEPA Tariff Refunds: A Discussion with Sidley Austin
We hope you can join us for a discussion with Ted Murphy, Co-Leader of Global Arbitration, Trade and Advocacy at Sidley Austin in Washington, D.C.
Since the Supreme Court argument in early November, a small number of companies have begun filing lawsuits in the U.S. Court of International Trade challenging the legality and constitutionality of the IEEPA tariffs. Separately, a class-action lawsuit has been filed in the District of Columbia seeking to permanently enjoin enforcement of the IEEPA tariffs.
In this session, Ted will provide an update on recent events and address the following questions:
- Does every company need to win its own tariff verdict, or will one class-action lawsuit suffice?
- Has the time come to file “me-too’ tariff lawsuits?
- Is filing a lawsuit the only option—and is it the best one?
- What must companies do to secure their right to any potential IEEPA tariff refunds?
Sidley Austin has partnered with NeuGroup several times over the past few years, providing valuable insights on a wide range of topics. We hope you can join us again for this session.
