Available exclusively on NeuGroup Connect , the AI Workbench helps members discover practical applications, validate their plans and learn from the experiences of peers implementing AI and automation across treasury and finance. How are leading finance teams actually using AI—and which applications are moving beyond experimentation?
NeuGroup’s new AI Workbench provides answers grounded in what NeuGroup members are building and implementing, not theoretical possibilities or vendor promises.
Available exclusively to members through NeuGroup Connect under the NeuGroup for Technology Transformation (NGTT) menu, the peer-powered resource brings together anonymized AI and automation use cases shared across the NeuGroup Network. The Workbench already features 57 use cases, including 41 that are live or near-live, offering members a rare view into where finance organizations are finding value, which initiatives are advancing and how peers are approaching implementation.
From AI ambition to real-world application
Organized by business application and stage of development, the AI Workbench makes it easier for members to find initiatives relevant to their own priorities. Each use case provides insight into what a team is building, the challenge it is designed to address and where the initiative stands—from concept and pilot to implementation and live use.
The collection currently spans six areas:
- Cash Forecasting and Visibility: Explore how teams are using AI and machine learning to improve forecast accuracy, consolidate data and identify future liquidity needs.
- Accounts Receivable, Credit and Collections: See applications designed to prioritize collections, assess credit risk and automate time-consuming processes.
- Treasury Operations and Investments: Learn how members are applying AI to optimize liquidity, streamline workflows and support investment decisions.
- Internal Audit and SOX: Examine tools that expand transaction coverage, identify anomalies and strengthen testing and controls.
- Risk, Compliance and Governance: Discover initiatives supporting document review, risk identification, monitoring and responsible AI oversight.
- AI Productivity and Knowledge Tools: See how finance teams are using copilots, intelligent search and other tools to access information and work more efficiently.
Turning peer experience into practical intelligence
The AI Workbench is more than a collection of success stories. It is designed to help members evaluate possibilities at every stage of the AI journey—from identifying an initial use case to strengthening an initiative already underway.
Members can use the Workbench to:
- Generate ideas grounded in real finance applications. Explore how peers are applying AI to recognizable treasury, audit, risk and operational challenges.
- Validate priorities and investment decisions. See which use cases are gaining traction and how far comparable initiatives have progressed.
- Learn from different implementation approaches. Understand how other teams are moving from concept to pilot, implementation and live use.
- Identify opportunities to create measurable value. Discover applications designed to improve decision-making, reduce manual effort, strengthen controls and unlock financial benefits.
- Connect with peers pursuing similar initiatives. Work with a Peer Group Leader to continue the conversation and learn more from members facing comparable challenges.
A resource built to grow with the network
The AI Workbench captures insights emerging from NeuGroup peer group meetings, member submissions and NGTT programming. As members share new initiatives and existing projects advance, the resource will continue to expand and reflect the rapid evolution of AI across finance.
That continual growth is central to its value. Rather than providing a one-time view of the market, the Workbench gives members an evolving source of peer intelligence they can revisit as technologies mature, organizational priorities change and new applications emerge.
Members are encouraged not only to explore the current use cases, but also to contribute their own AI and automation initiatives. Every submission adds to the network’s collective intelligence and helps fellow practitioners better understand what is possible—and what it takes to put AI into practice.
Visit the AI Workbench on NeuGroup Connect to explore the use cases and submit an AI or automation initiative of your own.
