NeuGroup for Cash Investments 2026 H2 Meeting

Overview

We are looking forward to getting the Cash Investments group back together in the Bay Area for the H2 meeting. The agenda will create space to open up some new discussions the group has not explored in depth recently, while also revisiting topics from prior meetings to see how member approaches have evolved, what has moved forward, and where teams are still working through challenges. Across the sessions, members will have the opportunity to compare experiences, share what is working, and learn from each other on practical approaches to cash investment strategy, liquidity planning, technology, and evolving treasury workflows.

Topics to include:

1. Tri-Party Repo and Reverse Repo in Corporate Cash Portfolios — Explore how companies are evaluating repo as an investment or liquidity tool, including onboarding hurdles, collateral requirements, counterparty considerations, operational complexity, legal documentation, and the trade-off between yield pickup and effort required.
2. Practical Automation and AI Across Treasury — Share real-world examples of tools, workflows, and AI-enabled use cases members are using to streamline treasury operations, including cash positioning, forecasting, reporting, approvals, counterparty monitoring, KYC, investment workflows, and decision support.
3. Benchmarking SMA Strategy and Manager Models — Compare how companies are using SMAs today, including number of managers, mandate design, duration targets, liquidity sleeves, benchmark selection, reporting expectations, and when teams choose to manage assets externally vs. in-house.
4. Managing Forecast Volatility and Liquidity Planning — Discuss how treasury teams are improving cash forecasting accuracy, managing forecast misses, setting liquidity buffers, and adjusting investment decisions when cash needs are uncertain or business activity changes quickly.
