NeuGroup for Capital Markets 2026 H2 Meeting
Overview
The NeuGroup for Capital Markets will gather at the Coca-Cola headquarters in Atlanta, GA for their second half 2026 meeting on October 7th and 8th, 2026.
Members will have an opportunity to engage the group on the ever changing capital markets environment. Macroeconomic factors such as Federal Reserve changes, potential rate movements, the impact of government debt, global conflicts and growth opportunities associated with AI will inform the sessions.
This meeting is an opportunity to explore challenges, share experiences, pose urgent questions, and build relationships with an engaged and knowledgeable group of fellow practitioners.
Topics are expected to include:
- Positioning for the Rate Path into 2027 — with markets shifting from pricing cuts to a prolonged hold or possible hike, a forward-looking session on building balance-sheet optionality when consensus has flipped this fast, and what "higher for longer" means for issuance timing, fixed/float positioning, and liquidity strategy.
- CP/Revolver Backstop: Execution Sprint Readout — At the H1 meeting, a small group of members committed to working through how to decouple their CP programs from the revolver backstop requirement with the rating agencies. This session reports back on what they built, what they learned, and what's replicable for the broader group.
- Cultivating Talent on the Capital Markets Team — a peer exchange on building the next-generation team: hiring experienced practitioners versus teachable data/technical talent, and positioning treasury as a destination for top talent in an AI-shaped environment.
- Preparing for an Investor Day: The Capital Markets Lens — a peer exchange on how capital markets teams shape the capital-allocation story for an investor day, from deciding which metrics to disclose (capex, cash allocation, return profiles) to framing multi-year targets that will become public commitments.
- AI in the Issuance Process — applying AI to build issuance analysis, from assembling comparable deals to modeling pricing and tranche structuring, with honest lessons on where the output is reliable and where it isn't.
